Your tasks

In this demanding position as a scientist, you will be the driving force behind the data-driven evaluation of our preclinical research projects. You will combine in-depth scientific expertise with modern data analysis to develop well-founded solutions. A key part of your role will involve precisely processing complex data structures and presenting the results.

Your main tasks

• Conducting experiments for the development, optimization, characterization, troubleshooting and validation of ultrafast multiplex PCR assays for use in decentralized environments, including the integration of upstream technologies for sample preparation.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to the development of PCR assays and data interpretation.
• Data analysis & evaluation: Analysis and interpretation of complex PCR data using bioinformatics tools and software to ensure accurate results.
• Presentation & Knowledge Transfer: Preparation of complex research results in clear presentations and technical reports.
• Scientific documentation: Formulation and review of verification and validation protocols as well as precise reports under minimal guidance.

Your profile

• Successfully completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology , preferably with a focus on Cell Biology or Genetics , or a comparable, analytically oriented field.
• Experience in the development of molecular diagnostic methods , preferably with various PCR-based assays including multiplex PCR
• Knowledge of data analysis and the systematic evaluation of complex factor structures.
• Skills in presenting scientific data and the ability to communicate complex issues in a way that is appropriate and understandable for the target audience.
• Sound knowledge of scientific principles and the ability to confidently apply complex techniques in one's own field of expertise.
• Very good English and good German skills, both spoken and written.
• Strong critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with experienced colleagues and interdisciplinary teams.
