To achieve this, we build two- and three-sided platforms and rethink content, tech, and communication – in an agile, modular, and user-centered way.As part of the Thieme.Praxis product team, you will work closely with Product Management, UX, Engineering, and internal stakeholders from Marketing and Content. The mission of the Thieme Group is to provide these markets with precisely the information, services, and products they need in their specific work situation and career.Department: Information TechnologyStart: at the next possible timeContract duration: permanentWorking hours: Full-time (35-40h/week)Your role & your impactDrive the technical evolution of Thieme.Praxis by rapidly experimenting with new ideas, validating concepts through prototypes, and turning successful approaches into scalable, production-ready solutions.Take end-to-end ownership of projects, from initial discovery and technical design to implementation, operations, and continuous improvement.Contribute across the full stack using TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js, with a particular focus on backend development, databases, APIs, data flows, and system integrations.Work closely with Product Management and UX to turn ambiguous requirements into pragmatic solutions that balance speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.Strengthen our in-house engineering capabilities, take ownership of key platform components, and support the evolution of the existing WordPress-based setup.Your profileTech stack: TypeScript · JavaScript · React · Next.js · Node.jsSeveral years of hands-on experience in a senior full-stack engineering role, with strong expertise in backend development, databases, APIs, server-side logic, and system integrations.A good understanding of scalable and maintainable software architecture, combined with the ability to turn prototypes and ambiguous requirements into reliable production solutions.A product-oriented, pragmatic mindset and the ability to balance rapid experimentation with technical quality and long-term sustainability.Experience working closely with Product Management, UX, and Engineering in a cross-functional environment, paired with clear communication and a strong sense of ownership.Experience with PHP, WordPress, or Sanity is an advantage, particularly in the context of content migration, but not a requirement.What we offer youWith the option of flexitime (40 hours/week for full-time employees) and mobile working within Germany, you can organise your own individual way of working.
