Senior AI Demand & Use Case Expert (m/f/d)

In this role, you act as a key partner for Business Units and Corporate Functions within the Innovation & AI Engine and drive the identification, structuring, and prioritization of AI use cases across DEKRA. Your primary focus is the end‑to‑end management of the AI demand pipeline—from intake and qualification to prioritization, pilot validation, and handover into implementation.

You combine strong business understanding with structuring and execution capabilities, ensuring that AI initiatives are clearly defined, strategically aligned, and successfully delivered in close collaboration with engineering and other stakeholders.

Tasks

• You own the central intake, structuring, and continuous development of the enterprise‑wide AI use‑case pipeline
• By qualifying and consolidating incoming demands, you translate requirements into high‑quality, well‑defined use cases with clear business value
• You define and apply prioritization criteria in close alignment with the AI strategy and make informed decisions regarding prioritization, postponement, or rejection
• With a strong focus on business alignment, you develop business cases and define impact logic as well as success and validation criteria
• As a central stakeholder interface, you prepare and co‑moderate use‑case and transformation workshops and ensure alignment and commitment across business units
• You steer pilot initiatives from a business perspective, ensuring clear target outcomes and supporting validation through close collaboration with engineering teams
• By contributing to the AI operating model, you continuously improve demand‑management processes, roles, interfaces, and scalable prioritization mechanisms

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of experience in management consulting, business development, or transformation‑focused roles
• Strong experience in demand management, pipeline, portfolio, or use‑case governance
• Proven ability to structure complex topics and drive initiatives from concept to execution
• Experience in developing business cases and managing senior stakeholders
• Solid understanding of digital and AI‑based use cases from a business perspective
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills
• High level of ownership, pragmatism, and execution strength
• Experience in innovation or AI environments as well as cross‑functional collaboration between business and technology nice to have
