Head of Legal Automotive (m/w/d)

Your Contribution

As Head of Legal Automotive (f/m/d) , you will lead the global automotive legal function and ensure effective legal support for all business units. In this role, you will further develop structures, processes, and standards in line with the company’s strategic direction and act as a key partner to the business on complex legal matters.

• Disciplinary and functional leadership as well as further development of the Automotive Legal team

• Strategic development of the automotive legal function, including processes and standards

• Legal advice to business units, group companies and management board in national and international commercial and antitrust law

• Review, negotiation, and drafting of complex contracts with customers, suppliers, and technology partners

• Management of litigation and disputes, including steering of external law firms

• Development and implementation of contract templates and general terms and conditions

• Preparation of complex legal matters and development of pragmatic, business-oriented solutions

• Delivery of trainings for business units and management

• Close collaboration with internal stakeholders (e.g. purchasing, sales, engineering, quality) and international legal teams

Your Experience & Qualifications:

• Fully qualified lawyer with two above-average state examinations

• Several years of professional experience in the automotive environment (OEM, supplier, or consulting)

• Strong expertise in customer and supplier contracts, product liability, claims/litigation, and antitrust law

• Proven leadership experience

• Business fluent German and English

• Confident and professional presence in an international environment, combined with a structured and independent working style, strong business acumen with an entrepreneurial mindset, and excellent communication and collaboration skill s
