About the Position

Dexis Professional Services is seeking Security Specialists to support a potential opportunity with the Marine Corps Forces Europe and Africa based in Stuttgart, Germany and/or Naples, Italy.

The Security Specialist place of duty is Headquarters MARFOREUR/AF. The Security Specialist supports the Personnel Security Manager by carrying out security related tasks and providing security advice on personnel security matters.

Responsibilities

• Assists in reviewing, correcting, processing, and tracking requests for personnel security investigations.
• Receives, briefs, and in-processes personnel and requests the issue of collateral-access security badges.
• Assists in developing appropriate courses of action in determining collateral-access eligibility.
• Out-processes personnel, ensuring Defense Information System for Security (DISS) accesses and relationships are removed.
• Assists in performing accountability audits of accesses granted with personnel security files.
• Maintains daily notifications from DISS, advising the Security Manager as appropriate.
• Assists in responding to DOD Consolidated Adjudication Facility (DODCAF) supplemental information requests, Office of Personnel Management (OPM) investigation responses, and other actions necessary pertaining to personnel security.
• Assists in verifying individual clearance information for all Command purposes (e.g., verifying clearance data on SAARs,
  creating security letters, creating NATO verification letters, etc.)
• Assists with periodic security checks of facilities and documentation.
• Assists and advises the MARFOREUR/AF staff regarding security matters.
• Advises the Security Manager on command security policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• A master's degree in a related field and 3 years of specialized experience; OR a bachelor's degree in a related field and 6 years of specialized experience; OR 10 years of specialized experience.
• Possesses a US Secret or higher-level clearance and a valid passport.
• Must have experience using Defense Information System for Security (DISS), and experience in National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) is preferred.
• Must have a working knowledge of standard security policies and procedures to include the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and The DOD Information Security Manual (DODM 5200.01 V1-V4).
• Must be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
