Position Summary

Apotheosis is looking for a senior Stuttgart Site Lead / Delivery Lead to lead our forward engineering team in Germany. This person will be the day-to-day leader for our Stuttgart pod and the main point of contact for government users in theater.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will help turn mission needs into clear delivery priorities, guide the local team through sprint execution, coordinate releases, manage local issue resolution, and keep the Stuttgart pod aligned with the NoVA Discovery Hub. You will work closely with program leadership, architects, engineers, analysts, and government stakeholders to make sure the team delivers useful, secure, and supportable software quickly.

The right person is comfortable leading people, working directly with customers, solving delivery problems in real time, and operating in a fast-moving mission environment.

What You Will Do

• Serve as the primary on-site delivery lead for Apotheosis in Stuttgart.
• Lead daily mission engagement with government users and stakeholders.
• Manage requirement intake, backlog triage, sprint priorities, and release readiness for the Stuttgart team.
• Coordinate closely with the NoVA Discovery Hub so both locations operate as one team with one backlog and one delivery rhythm.
• Lead local standups, planning sessions, demos, and user feedback sessions.
• Oversee local troubleshooting, break/fix coordination, and operational issue resolution.
• Support deployment planning, integration activities, testing, and release validation in theater.
• Track delivery risks, staffing issues, access dependencies, and technical blockers, and escalate them quickly when needed.
• Work with engineers and analysts to turn user needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans.
• Help maintain documentation, runbooks, release notes, and transition artifacts so the government can sustain the capability over time.
• Provide leadership to the Stuttgart pod, including field engineering, deployment/integration, mission analysis, software engineering, and QA support staff.
• Set a professional tone for the team through calm execution, accountability, and strong customer service.

The Stuttgart Site Lead / Delivery Lead will typically lead a forward pod that may include:

• Field Engineer
• Deployment / Integration Engineer
• Mission Analyst / Business Analyst / Test Lead
• Software Engineers
• Junior Software / Data / Release Validation / QA support

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience leading software delivery, systems integration, or technical teams in government, defense, or other mission-driven environments
• 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams that include engineers, analysts, testers, and customer-facing stakeholders
• Experience managing software delivery in Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or similar development environments
• Experience with release planning, backlog management, sprint execution, and issue escalation
• Experience working with software engineering, integration, data, cloud, or DevSecOps teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer-facing skills and the ability to work directly with senior government stakeholders
• Ability to manage competing priorities, tight timelines, and changing mission needs
• Ability to relocate to or work in Stuttgart, Germany, and complete required government onboarding, access, and credentialing steps
• U.S. citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Prior OCONUS, in-theater, or deployed support experience
• Experience supporting DoD, IC, NIWC, AFRICOM, EUCOM, or other Combatant Command environments
• Experience with DevSecOps pipelines, software release management, or operational deployment support
• Experience with data integration, mission applications, APIs, or cloud-based platforms
• Experience working in classified environments
• SAFe, Scrum, PMP, or related delivery certification
• Familiarity with MSS, JFN, Advana, Jupiter, Databricks, or related defense data environments
