Middleware Administrator (m/w/d)

Tasks

• You deliver administrative services for application-related middleware components and environments
• Deployment, administration, support, and maintenance of middleware platforms enabling communication between applications across diverse systems are part of your role
• Responsibility for installation, configuration, testing, and ongoing operation of application servers (Red Hat JBoss, Apache Tomcat) and message queue environments is assumed
• System changes are assessed, appropriate actions identified, and implementation recommendations provided
• Troubleshooting, monitoring, security patching, and change implementation across all application layers are carried out regularly
• TLS certificates in key stores and trust stores are managed and maintained
• Close collaboration with application support teams and developers is ensured, including on-call support when required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• More than five years of experience with application servers (e.g., Red Hat JBoss EAP, Apache Tomcat) and messaging systems (e.g., IBM MQ, Aurea SonicMQ)
• In-depth knowledge of middleware software in enterprise environments and strong Linux administration skills
• Solid understanding of programming (especially Java) , scripting, and database technologies
• Proficiency in ServiceNow and strong troubleshooting capabilities for complex technical issues
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Good written and spoken German and English language skills
