Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client, an international Automotive Spareparts Company,is recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer - Automotive Senors to join their business in Germany. Position Title Mechanical Design Engineer Position Type Perm Start Date ASAP Location Near Stuttgart, Germany Contact: Jo Tianchang Li | +49 (0) 89 23 88 98 42 Responsibilities: Design and development of components and tools, creating drawings and BOM, with a focus on function, costs, ease of production, customer requirements and internal design specifications. Manage all aspects of the design process, from research and ideation to creative conceptualization and design. Support the design engineers in HQ and do inspection and correction of their mechanical design and drawings. Support the RFQs, checking and ensuring compliance with customer requirements as well as internal design specifications. Leading technical discussions with customers, suppliers, and internal departments in case of need. Component design and development based on specifications and ISO standards, using CAD design and tolerance analysis. Requirements University degree of Bachelor (or higher) in mechanical engineering. +3 years working experience in the automotive industry. Good knowledge of position/ speed/ pressure/inductive sensors, and their applications in powertrain or electric drive systems are advantages. Familiar with prototype and product development processes. Very skillful in plastic component design and plastic materials. Good knowledge of DFMEA, GD&T, tolerance design and stack-up analysis. Extensive CAD modeling skills, preferably with CATIA Organized and detail oriented. Fluent in English, other languages are an advantage especially German, or Chinese language.
