Sales Project Manager - Sealing Technologies (all genders)
- Provide technical leadership and expertise for injection and compression molded rubber components, including tooling design, compound selection, and manufacturing processes for engineering projects.
- Lead engineering support during the quotation process by performing advanced should-cost analyses, validating technical concepts, and selecting the most suitable manufacturing partners.
- Drive Design-to-Cost initiatives by challenging and optimizing material selection, tooling concepts, product design, and production technologies.
- Manage Make-or-Buy decisions, supplier selection, and the complete sampling process from prototype order through PPAP/approval to successful serial production.
- Optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by developing and managing a high-performing supplier portfolio while ensuring quality, cost competitiveness, and supply reliability.
- Support business growth by leading engineering projects, executing product and business development strategies, and acting as the technical competence center for rubber molding technologies.
- Collaborate closely with sales, sourcing, suppliers, and cross-functional international teams to deliver innovative and competitive customer solutions while promoting technical excellence across the organization.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline (Bachelor's, Master's, FH, or University).
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in rubber manufacturing, particularly injection molding of rubber components such as O-rings and technical molded parts.
- Strong project management experience in a customer-facing, international environment with proven ability to coordinate cross-functional stakeholders.
- Extensive knowledge of rubber molding technologies, including injection molding, compression molding, transfer molding, cold runner systems, tooling design, compounds, and production equipment.
- Solid understanding of strategic sourcing, supplier selection, should-cost analysis, procurement processes, and basic supply chain management.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, combined with strong analytical thinking, commercial awareness, and proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication skills, a proactive and self-driven mindset, customer orientation, teamwork, and fluency in English. German language skills are a must.
